If you subscribe to garbage service, your local garbage company can provide you with free oil recycling jugs and oil filter bags to use for your at-home oil change, just call and ask to have them dropped off. Pick- up for used oil and used oil filters is the same day as your regularly scheduled garbage pick-up day.

Put the jug out on the curb next to your garbage or recycling container once you have filled the jug with used oil and placed your used oil filter into the plastic bag.

Remember: Do not mix any other lubricants such as water, brake fluid, transmission fluid, or other liquids with the used oil. Your provider may not accept the used oil if it is contaminated with other liquids.
